Hydroelectric Project
A project by A.P.E.X Green

The A.P.E.X Green hydroelectric project is developed in collaboration with a European industrial group with over 30 years of experience in the renewable energy sector and more than 300 hydroelectric plants built internationally.
The Challenge
Burkina Faso has enormous untapped hydroelectric potential, with water resources that could guarantee clean and sustainable energy. However, the lack of modern infrastructure and specialized skills limits the sector's development.
Our Approach
The initiative involves the construction of medium and small-sized hydroelectric plants, designed according to the hydraulic characteristics of the territory and developed with a turnkey approach (EPC).
Technological Solutions
Based on morphology and water availability, the following can be implemented:
- Low-head run-of-river plants with Kaplan turbines
- High-head installations with Pelton turbines
- Solutions with Francis turbines for intermediate configurations
- Run-of-river plants with low environmental impact
Industrial Positioning
The project is part of a network of consolidated expertise at international level, with over 700 MW installed in total across Europe, Africa and Latin America. This industrial base enables handling even complex logistical contexts, guaranteeing:
- High execution quality
- Transfer of European know-how
- Long-term operational continuity
- Organized and scalable technical structure
The applied technology enables high standards of efficiency, reliability and durability over time, with advanced automation and monitoring systems.
The Impact
The hydroelectric project represents a strategic opportunity for Burkina Faso.
Expected impacts:
- Supply of clean and sustainable energy to local communities
- Creation of qualified employment in the energy sector
- Reduction of dependence on polluting energy sources
- Transfer of European technologies and expertise
- Contribution to sustainable territorial development
A project that brings international expertise and advanced technologies for sustainable energy development in Burkina Faso.
